Former goalkeepers Garfil Coster and Terence Odiun have been appointed as the co-coaches of the Nadroga Football Association for the upcoming 2025 season. Max Chetty, the President of the Nadroga Football Association, announced their appointments, emphasizing the importance of providing local coaches with the opportunity to lead the team.
In making the decision, Chetty expressed confidence in Coster and Odiun, both of whom are former Nadroga players who have a genuine commitment to the district. He stated, “They will start their duties this week, and we have high hopes from them and look forward to a bigger and better season.”
This coaching change follows the departure of Viliame Toma, who was let go after the team suffered an 8-0 defeat to Rewa during the FMF Inter District Championship. The Nadroga Football Association aims to stabilize the team’s management and improve performance after a challenging period marked by significant losses in prior competitions, including losses to Ba and Rewa earlier in the season.
Chetty’s announcement reflects a focus on strengthening the team and invigorating the coaching staff, aiming for a positive turnaround in the upcoming season.
Overall, this fresh leadership can instill a renewed sense of purpose and effort within the team, potentially leading to better outcomes and stronger performances on the field in the 2025 season.
