Three individuals are set to appear in Suva Magistrates Court today after being charged with multiple offenses, including possession of illicit drugs and serious assault, stemming from an incident in Nadonumai.
This development follows a successful drug raid conducted by a collaborative task force that included members from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Police Mobile Force, the Fiji Detector Dog Unit, and Divisional Operations, earlier this week.
A 29-year-old man has been charged with one count of possession of illicit drugs, while two other suspects, aged 27 and 23, face charges related to serious assault.
The case is scheduled to be addressed later this afternoon, highlighting the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to tackle drug-related crime and violence in the community.
This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of cooperative policing efforts in ensuring community safety and combating illicit drug activities. With such operations, authorities hope to deter future incidents and restore confidence within the community.
