Former Flying Fijians winger Nemani Nadolo has embarked on a new chapter in his career by starting his coaching journey with Box Hill Rugby in Melbourne. Excited about this opportunity, Nadolo expressed his gratitude for being given the chance to work alongside Rayne Simpson and coach the 1st grade squad.
With his playing days behind him, Nadolo looks forward to sharing his extensive rugby knowledge with the senior team. He understands that the transition from playing to coaching involves a learning curve and is eager to approach this role as a student of the game. “This is an exciting new chapter in my life, and I can’t wait to learn, grow, and give my all to the journey ahead,” he stated.
At 36 years old, the Namatakula villager from Nadroga retired last year after sustaining an injury while playing for the Waratahs in the Super Rugby Pacific. This next step in his career highlights his commitment to the sport and his desire to influence the next generation of players positively.
Nadolo’s transition from player to coach can inspire others in similar situations to embrace change and continually seek growth, showcasing the potential for athletes to remain connected to their sport beyond their playing days. His dedication to learning and sharing his experiences is a hopeful reminder of the value of mentorship in sports.
