Nadi’s emotional qualification to the semifinals of the Battle of the Giants, where they triumphed over the two-time champions Labasa, was a moment of pure joy for the players and their supporters.
Each of Nadi’s three goals was met with heartfelt celebration, involving everyone from the players on the bench to the Nadi association’s president, Mohin Rafiq, who enthusiastically ran to the sidelines to join in the celebrations with the goal scorers.
After the match, an emotional Coach Raj Dayal took a moment to compose himself before addressing the media.
