Coach Raj Dayal, who is based in Canada, arrived in Fiji over the weekend to help prepare Nadi for the upcoming FMF Inter District Championship set to take place at Churchill Park in Lautoka this month.
Dayal’s first assignment was to lead the Jetsetters in their final match of the Digicel Fiji Premier League season against Suva. He achieved immediate success, guiding the team to a 2-1 victory, concluding their season with a total of 25 points, placing them sixth overall.
In preparation for the IDC, Dayal will collaborate with Varoon Karan to coach the Green Machine, which has been placed in Group B alongside defending champions Ba, league winners Rewa, and Nadroga.
The Inter District Championship is scheduled to run from October 15 to 20.
