Mahajibhai Hardware, a company based in Nadi, has announced its support for the district football team ahead of the FMF Inter-District Championship 2024. This commitment was highlighted during a cheque presentation of $7500 in Martintar, Nadi, where company director Sudhish Patel mentioned that this marks the first occasion the company is backing the district team.
Patel expressed his enthusiasm for supporting Nadi Football and its community, acknowledging the hard work and improved performance of the players. He wished the team success in the upcoming tournament, hoping they would bring home the trophy this year.
Nadi Football Association president Mohin Rafiq welcomed the sponsorship from Mahajibhai Hardware, describing it as a significant benefit for the entire Nadi football family during challenging times for corporate sponsorships. He also noted that the team will be referred to as Mahajibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi, given that they have secured two major sponsors.
Rafiq extended his gratitude to head coach Raj Dayal and all the diligent supporters in Calgary and around the globe. He emphasized the team’s preparedness for the tournament, revealing that they have a sound strategy in place. The coaches and the board of control have shown strong support for the team’s preparations as they gear up to face defending champions Ba in their opening match next Tuesday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
The Nadi squad includes players such as Ratu Halstead, Vishant Reddy, Shaheel Valentine, and many others, who are eagerly looking forward to performing well in the tournament.
