Nadi Sports and Social Club emerged victorious in the first-ever Ladies Business House Bowls Competition held last week. The victorious team, which included players Tascheen Stuart, Raijieli Jamieson, Anita Devi, Laisani Sinu, and Shami Devi, secured a narrow win against Lautoka Wonder Women, finishing the match with a score of 16-13 in the final.

The Lautoka Wonder Women team featured players Bikashni Dass, Dinusha Chandima, Pritika Singh, and Ms. Low. Club secretary Shamal Kumar celebrated this milestone, highlighting the significance of a ladies-only competition in promoting women’s participation in the sport of bowls.

Kumar congratulated the Nadi Sports Club team for their determination in clinching the Cup Final and expressed appreciation to all teams for their sportsmanship and efforts throughout the competition. He noted that this event not only showcased the spirit of competition but also set the stage for women in bowls, as the winners will join the Nadi Sports and Social Club to form a dedicated women’s team.

– Bowl Final: Zens Wonder Women 16 – 9 Centrecom
– Shield Final: Tourism Fiji 18 – 8 Wormald Security
