The Nadi Sports and Social Club triumphed in the inaugural Ladies Business House Bowls Competition, clinching victory last week. The team, which featured standout players Tascheen Stuart, Raijieli Jamieson, Anita Devi, Laisani Sinu, and Shami Devi, managed to defeat the Lautoka Wonder Women with a close score of 16-13 in the final match.
Competing against the Lautoka Wonder Women, who consisted of Bikashni Dass, Dinusha Chandima, Pritika Singh, and Ms Low, the Nadi team showcased their talent and teamwork throughout the event. Club secretary Shamal Kumar hailed the competition as a significant milestone for women’s involvement in bowls within the Nadi region.
Kumar expressed his congratulations to the Nadi Sports Club for their victory, while also acknowledging the outstanding efforts and sportsmanship displayed by all teams involved. He emphasized the importance of this event in not just celebrating competitive spirit, but also in setting the foundation for a dedicated women’s team as the winners will now join NSSC for future competitions.
