Nadi Sports and Social Club emerged as the champions of the first-ever Ladies Business House Bowls Competition, held last week. The talented team, featuring players Tascheen Stuart, Raijieli Jamieson, Anita Devi, Laisani Sinu, and Shami Devi, secured a thrilling victory over the Lautoka Wonder Women, with a final score of 16-13.
The Lautoka Wonder Women team consisted of Bikashni Dass, Dinusha Chandima, Pritika Singh, and Ms Low. Shamal Kumar, the club secretary, highlighted the significance of this inaugural ladies-only event as a tremendous achievement for women’s bowls in Nadi.
Kumar offered his congratulations to the Nadi Sports Club team for their tenacious performance in the Cup Final and praised all participating teams for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. He noted that this event not only showcased competitive spirit but also laid the groundwork for a dedicated women’s team within the NSSC, as the winners will now integrate into it.
He expressed gratitude to all participants, supporters, and organizers, acknowledging their roles in making the event a resounding success.
