Nadi rugby is gearing up for an important event as players seize the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the Fijian Drua coaches at the Sun Bell Drua 10s tournament, taking place tomorrow at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. This young team, largely made up of under-20 players, has a clear objective: to attract the attention of Drua selectors and earn spots in the club’s development squad.

Manager Epeli Qoro expressed gratitude towards the Drua for organizing the tournament, highlighting how it provides young talents a platform to demonstrate their abilities. He also noted that the majority of their under-23 players are participating, as they are expected to form the core of Nadi rugby in the upcoming Skipper Cup next year.

The team boasts some experienced players, including former Fijian Drua squad member Serupepeli Vularika, Aporosa Saukuru, and halfback Anasa Garry. Nadi will kick off their tournament with the first match against Ba rugby at 10 am, followed by encounters with Fijian Drua White at 11:20 am and Malolo rugby at 1:11 pm. This tournament not only serves as a chance to impress selectors but also plays a key role in preparing the team for the 2025 rugby season.

This event represents a critical moment for young athletes to shine, which could lead to promising opportunities in their sports careers. The investment in youth talent today can shape the future of Nadi rugby, fostering a new generation of skilled players.
