Authorities are conducting an investigation into a series of robberies that took place in Nadi during the early hours of Thursday of last week. Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander for the West, confirmed that the investigation team is following up on leads.
SSP Vaisewa noted, “Our team is still investigating, and we have some information that the team is pursuing.” Surveillance footage has revealed that three men were involved in the robbery at the Total Energy service station in Nadi Town, which occurred around 3:47 a.m. on that Thursday.
This same group is also believed to have targeted a mini-mart in Martintar shortly thereafter. Police previously reported that the robbery spree started in Ba, where the suspects stole a vehicle that was later used in the robberies in Nadi.
