Watisoni Voli, a former national representative, scored a decisive late goal as JK Nadi Masters secured the Over 45 championship at the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings Veterans Tournament, defeating Rewa Masters 2-1 in a thrilling final held at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Rewa made an impressive start, with Jolame Nokonokomoli scoring in the third minute. However, JK Nadi responded with Salesh Kumar equalizing just before halftime after pressuring Rewa’s defense.

The second half was highly competitive, with both teams generating opportunities and launching attacks. In a crucial moment, Voli capitalized on a well-executed midfield play, scoring the winner and leaving the Rewa defense and goalkeeper Sitiveni Qarau unable to respond.

As champions, JK Nadi Masters took home $3000, while Rewa Masters received $1000 for their runner-up finish. Nadi’s captain, Maika Kasami, was awarded the Golden Ball, while Nokonokomoli from Rewa claimed the Golden Boot for scoring five goals in the tournament. Additionally, JK Nadi goalkeeper Waisiki Batina received the Golden Glove award, and the team was recognized with the Fair Play award.
