Veterans Ilimotama Jese and William Valentine are set to enhance Nadi’s aspirations in the 2026 Extra Premier League as they prepare for their season opener against Navua this Sunday at the Uprising Sports Ground in Pacific Harbour.
In an effort to bolster their squad, Nadi has been proactive in the transfer market, successfully re-signing several past players. Among those returning are the seasoned midfielder Valentine and the experienced defender Jese, both of whom have a wealth of experience that will be invaluable throughout the season.
Additionally, Nadi has strengthened their roster with the recruitment of three players from the Solomon Islands: Jimson Abana, Steven Koti, and Jack Kokaki. Abana, who previously showcased his skills with Labasa, and both Koti and Kokaki, who were integral to last season’s Nadroga FC, bring fresh talent and depth to the team.
On the other hand, Navua approaches the new season facing challenges as they have lost significant attacking players. Striker Sairusi Nalaubu has transitioned to Ba, while Rahul Krishna has signed with Rewa FC, leaving Navua to adapt their strategy for the upcoming match.
The excitement builds as the match is set to kick off at 3pm this Sunday, providing both teams an opportunity to make a strong start in the league. Fans are hopeful that Nadi’s strategic signings will pay off as they aim for a successful campaign.
