The Prince Charles Park in Nadi has the capacity to accommodate 20,000 attendees, and the Nadi Town Council is preparing for a large turnout at George “Fiji” Veikoso’s Homecoming Concert scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night.

Muni Gopal, the acting CEO of the Nadi Town Council, stated that the council expects the town to be bustling with visitors during this two-day event. To ensure safety at the venue, tight security measures will be implemented in collaboration with concert organizers.

“For this event, the venue can support around 20,000 people,” Mr. Gopal remarked. “When used for major tournaments, it typically accommodates about 15,000.”

The town will be lively, and to facilitate a secure environment, the council is providing additional security personnel and police presence. Extra lighting has been installed in dark areas, particularly on streets and intersections lacking illumination.

“We are managing car parks, deploying security guards at entrances, and having extra security within the crowd,” he added. “Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels safe.”

The homecoming concert is set to kick off at 3 PM today, with gates opening at 2:30 PM. George “Fiji” Veikoso will be performing alongside notable artists including J Boog, Maoli, Josh Tatofi, and Justin Wellington.
