Nadi Drug Raid Nets Five Arrests: What’s Next?

Five men have been arrested in a recent drug operation in Nadi. A combined team from the Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) based in Suva and the West executed a raid in Nadi last Thursday, leading to the arrests of the suspects allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, reported that during the operation, officers confiscated multiple sachets of a white substance believed to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves thought to be marijuana. The substances have been sent for analysis as part of an ongoing investigation.

The five individuals remain in custody as authorities continue their inquiries. Additionally, police have made several other arrests across the five policing divisions in the past week, focusing on individuals suspected of dealing various illicit drugs.

Law enforcement officials are urging the public to share any information they may have regarding drug trafficking in Fiji.
