Raj Dayal, the head coach for Nadi football team, has returned to Fiji from Canada to kick start the Jetsetters’ preseason preparations ahead of the National League, which is scheduled to begin on February 14. This month-long period is a critical time for the team as Dayal aims to improve their fitness and tactical combinations, positioning them for a stronger performance than the previous season.

Since taking over the coaching role last year, Dayal has made a remarkable impact. Under his leadership, Nadi reached the finals of the Battle of the Giants and advanced to the semifinals of the Inter District Championship, setting high expectations for this upcoming season. Furthermore, after a challenging phase where they struggled in the Digicel Fiji FACT, Nadi has recently showcased a resurgence with back-to-back victories in the Digicel Fiji Premier League.

Dayal’s collaborative work with new assistant coach Mohammed Ashif Khan will be vital for refining the team dynamics and strengthening their overall strategy. His return not only represents continuity in leadership but also brings renewed optimism and enthusiasm among fans for what lies ahead in the National League.

This is indeed an exciting time for the Jetsetters as they focus on physical preparation and strategic development. With the foundation being laid for a competitive run in the league, there is hope that the combination of Dayal’s experience and the talent of the squad will lead to positive outcomes this season, allowing Nadi to significantly improve their league standing and achieve greater success.
