Nabua’s Silent Determination Amid Rugby Drama

Nabua Secondary School’s under-17 team is moving forward with its preparations for the Vodafone Super Deans national quarter-finals, despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding the event. Coach Inoke Loaloa stated that there have been no updates from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union, and they are continuing their training as planned.

Loaloa expressed confidence, saying, “We know that we will turn up on Saturday to play in the quarter-finals.” The team has chosen to focus on their preparations, disregarding external chatter on social media, although they understand that the final decision regarding the event lies with the authorities.

The last communication they received was from the FSSRU, which confirmed their victory in a case against Bucalevu Secondary School. They are also aware of the Minister of Education’s directive through media reports, but that is the extent of their current knowledge.

In related news, a reliable source from Bucalevu Secondary School indicated that their under-17 team has not yet left Taveuni for the tournament. Nabua is scheduled to compete against Ratu Kadavulevu School tomorrow at 11:55 AM at Buckhurst Park in Laucala Bay, Suva.
