Nabua White delivered a commanding performance in their latest FMF Suva Rugby Koroturaga match against Vanuabalavu, securing a decisive victory with a score of 33-3.
The match took place at the USP grounds in Suva on Saturday and showcased Nabua White’s dominance from the outset. In the first half, they asserted control over the game, excelling in both defense and offense, leading to a comfortable 14-3 advantage at halftime, bolstered by an impressive try from Apisai Doveirua.
The second half saw Nabua continue their strong play, culminating in a comprehensive win. Team manager Solomoni Nakati praised the players for their strength and performance on the field. While recognizing some missed opportunities, Nakati expressed overall satisfaction with the team’s effort and emphasized the need for improvement in areas like the line-out and scrum.
“The boys really did well, showing their strength and ability in the match. We had more opportunities that we didn’t capitalize on, but overall, the boys accomplished what they set out to do on the field,” stated Nakati. “There is always room for improvement; with three rounds left, we need to focus on our line-out and scrum in our next match during training.”
With three rounds remaining in the competition, Nakati underscored the team’s dedication to enhancing their skills during training to maintain their success. The Nabua White team features a young roster, with their youngest player being just 19 years old, who has performed remarkably well.
Nakati also expressed gratitude to Nabua supporters both in Fiji and abroad, encouraging greater attendance at upcoming matches and striving for more victories in the competition.
