Nabua Secondary School Stays Focused Amidst Rugby Drama

Nabua Secondary School’s under-17 rugby team remains focused on their preparations for the Vodafone Super Deans national quarter-finals, despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the event. Coach Inoke Loaloa stated that there have been no updates or changes for the team, as they continue their training regimen as planned.

Loaloa mentioned, “To my knowledge, we have not received any word from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union. Nothing has changed for us, and training continued as normal. We know that we will turn up on Saturday to play in the quarter-finals.”

The team has chosen to ignore external chatter on social media but recognizes that the final decision regarding their participation lies with the authorities. “The only communication we have received was from the FSSRU confirming our victory against Bucalevu Secondary School in our case. We heard about the Minister of Education’s directive through the media, and that is all we know,” he added.

Additionally, a reliable source from Bucalevu Secondary School informed that their under-17 team has not yet left Taveuni. Nabua is scheduled to compete against Ratu Kadavulevu School tomorrow at 11:55 AM at Buckhurst Park in Laucala Bay, Suva.
