Nabua Secondary School’s under-17 rugby team is staying focused on their training despite the surrounding controversy of the Vodafone Super Deans national quarter-finals.
Coach Inoke Loaloa confirmed that the team’s preparation remains unchanged as they have not received any updates from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union. “To my knowledge, we have not received any word from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union. Nothing has changed for us and training continued as normal. We know that we will turn up on Saturday to play in the quarter-finals,” he stated.
The team has chosen to ignore distractions from social media, while acknowledging that the final decisions will come from higher authorities. They received a letter from the FSSRU affirming their win against Bucalevu Secondary School, but are otherwise aware of ongoing developments via media reports regarding directives from the Minister of Education.
Additionally, a reliable source from Bucalevu Secondary School shared that their under-17 team has not yet left Taveuni.
Nabua is scheduled to compete against Ratu Kadavulevu School tomorrow at 11:55 AM at Buckhurst Park in Laucala Bay, Suva.
