Mystery Victim: Authorities Seek Help in Fatal Navua Accident

Traffic authorities are seeking help from the public to identify the victim of a tragic accident that took place in the Southern Division. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana revealed that a man was found lying on Queens Road near Talenaua in Navua early Friday morning, around 1 am, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man.

The victim was rushed to Navua Hospital but sadly was pronounced dead upon arrival. SSP Divuana noted that the victim is an i-Taukei man believed to be in his late 20s. As the inquiry continues, authorities have released images of the clothing the victim wore, along with a description of a tattoo on his left arm, hoping to gather more information from the community.

The Director of Traffic encourages anyone with relevant information to reach out to investigators at the contact number 9905 633. Ongoing investigations aim to bring closure to this unfortunate incident.
