A mysterious vessel docked at Lautoka wharf is capturing public interest as it awaits dry docking. The maritime craft, known as Yavirau, is connected to various local figures, including well-known businessman Wella Pillay, who is rumored to have acquired the ship for a Fijian chief residing overseas. Although the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji is unaware of the vessel’s ownership or future plans, sources indicate that Yavirau is the property of Tui Lakeba, Ratu Tevita Mara. The vessel, flying a Mongolian flag, is currently undergoing maintenance after arriving in Lautoka a few days ago.
