A man known to be homeless was discovered unresponsive at the Totogo Police Station early yesterday morning.
Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew reported that the man had requested to use the bathroom facilities, a request that was granted by the officers on duty.
Shortly thereafter, an officer escorting a prisoner to the bathroom found the man lying motionless, prompting officers to secure the area for a Crime Scene Investigation.
The Acting Commissioner indicated that a post-mortem examination is anticipated to determine the cause of death.
The Acting head of the police department has promised a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
