Traffic authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a victim involved in a tragic accident in the Southern Division. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the incident took place around 1 a.m. last Friday when a man, who is believed to have been sleeping on Queens Road near Talenaua in Navua, was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old male.

Sadly, the victim was transported to Navua Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The police have yet to determine the man’s identity, but they suspect he is an i-Taukei male in his late 20s. To aid in identification, authorities have released images of the clothing he wore and details of a tattoo located on his left arm, hoping that someone may recognize him and provide vital information.

SSP Divuana urges anyone with relevant information to contact police at 9905 633 to assist in the ongoing investigation.

As investigations continue, this case highlights the importance of community involvement in helping bring closure to tragic situations. By coming forward with any potential leads, individuals can play a pivotal role in assisting the authorities during this difficult time.
