Mystery Surrounds Fatal Navua Road Accident Victim

Traffic authorities are appealing for public help in determining the identity of a man who tragically lost his life in a road accident in the Southern Division on the morning of November 1st.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana outlined that the victim, believed to be in his late twenties, was found lying on Queens Road near Talenaua, Navua, when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man around 1 a.m. Despite being quickly transported to Navua Hospital, he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.

SSP Divuana stated that investigations are ongoing, but the identity of the man remains unknown. Police describe the victim as an i-taukei male and have released images of his clothing and a notable tattoo on his left arm to assist in identification. They are hopeful that someone might recognize him and come forward with information.

The public is encouraged to contact the Traffic Investigation Unit at 9905 633 with any leads that could assist in resolving this tragic case.
