Mystery Surrounds Fatal Navua Road Accident Victim

Traffic authorities are appealing for public help in identifying a man who lost his life in a tragic road accident early in the morning on October 1st in the Southern Division.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, the victim, believed to be in his late 20s, was found lying in the middle of Queens Road near Talenaua, Navua, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old man around 1 a.m. Despite being quickly rushed to Navua Hospital, the unfortunate news is that he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

SSP Divuana reported that the investigation is active, but the man’s identity remains unknown. He has been identified as an i-taukei male, and investigators have released images of his clothing and a unique tattoo on his left arm, hoping someone may recognize him and provide information.

Authorities encourage anyone with useful information to contact the Traffic Investigation Unit at 9905 633. As the investigation unfolds, police seek assistance to achieve closure for this heartbreaking incident.
