Authorities are looking into the death of a homeless individual who was discovered unresponsive at the Totogo Police Station yesterday morning. Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew reported that the man had requested to use the bathroom upon entering the station, and officers on duty facilitated his request.
Shortly thereafter, an officer who was escorting a prisoner to the restroom noticed the man lying motionless. Officers quickly secured the area to allow Crime Scene Investigations to carry out their procedures.
Mr. Chew indicated that a post-mortem examination is anticipated to determine the cause of death, and he assured the public that a comprehensive investigation will be carried out regarding the incident.
