Renowned chef and restaurant owner Lance Seeto was found deceased in his Suva home today. Acting Divisional Police Commander Central Isoa Natui confirmed that Seeto’s body was discovered in his residence on Clarke Street this morning.
At this time, the details surrounding his death remain unclear. A report was received at the Totogo Police Station from a colleague who went to check on Seeto after multiple attempts to reach him had failed. Upon arrival, the colleague found Seeto lying motionless and promptly notified the police.
Investigators from the Crime Scene Investigations Unit have been dispatched to the location to initiate the investigation.
Chef Seeto was celebrated as a key figure in South Pacific cuisine and collaborated closely with tourism stakeholders to position Fiji as an emerging food destination. His television series “Taste of Paradise” was recognized as a finalist at the 2016 Asia Broadcasting Union awards.
