The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, announced that officials have yet to identify the source of an alleged poisoning incident that resulted in seven foreign nationals being hospitalized on Sunday. During a press conference, Dr. Tudravu confirmed that the patients are currently receiving care at Lautoka Hospital, and investigations are ongoing.

The Fiji Police Force is also involved, conducting a toxicology report to help uncover the cause of the incident. Dr. Tudravu noted that as of now, there are no findings to indicate whether the situation was related to drink spiking or due to another reason.
