A fire broke out at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday in the storeroom located at the back of the house. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident.
Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, reported that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, with no injuries noted.
Osborne stated, “No guest rooms were affected,” and mentioned that as a precaution, a small number of guests were evacuated from adjacent rooms.
She emphasized that the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa is dedicated to upholding stringent safety standards to ensure the wellbeing and security of guests and staff.
Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander for the West, also confirmed that there were no casualties and stated they are waiting for the results of the investigation.
