Authorities are investigating the death of Jason Rigby, a 41-year-old acting manager at the Crowne Plaza in Wailoaloa, Nadi. Originally from the Gold Coast, Australia, Rigby’s body was found in a hotel bathroom on Saturday morning around 8 a.m.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wame Bautolu confirmed that Rigby’s body was found motionless and is currently at the Nadi Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination. While investigations are ongoing, it has been clarified that there is no criminal investigation related to the incident.

Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay’s General Manager, Shaun Parsons, expressed the hotel’s deep sorrow over the loss of Rigby. He emphasized that the hotel is in close contact with Rigby’s family, providing them with necessary support during this challenging chapter. Parsons also requested privacy for the family during this time of grief.
