The Major Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department has formally charged a 25-year-old man in connection with the alleged murder of a 27-year-old resident from Buakonikai, Rabi. The police report indicates that the incident took place on October 20, when the accused allegedly attacked the victim during a dispute, leading to the victim’s death.
Once the investigation was concluded, authorities sought guidance from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which subsequently approved the murder charge. The accused individual is scheduled to appear in court today at the Savusavu Magistrates Court.
