The charges stem from an incident that occurred on New Year’s Eve involving the victim, a 32-year-old manager, and several others during a drinking gathering.

According to reports, a violent altercation broke out around 10:00 am on New Year’s Day, during which the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim, leaving him lifeless on the ground. Following the incident, the suspect took the victim to CWM Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The investigation into the matter revealed crucial information from six eyewitnesses who were at the party, assisting authorities in piecing together the events that transpired. The suspect now faces a count of murder as outlined in Section 312 of the Crimes Act of 2009.

This tragic incident highlights the potential dangers of alcohol consumption and the unforeseen consequences that can arise from seemingly harmless gatherings. It serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible drinking and conflict resolution to prevent such unfortunate events in the future.
