The case involving a 31-year-old man accused of fatally assaulting a woman in Raiwaqa last Monday has been moved to the High Court in Suva. Anare Vuli Ciliceva appeared before Magistrate Jeremaia Savou at the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday, facing one charge of murder. It is reported that on September 9, in Raiwaqa, Suva, Ciliceva allegedly killed Sabreen Shahib Ali.

During the proceedings, Ciliceva stated his intention to reserve his right to counsel, indicating he needed time to reach out overseas for funding to secure legal representation. Magistrate Savou granted him this time and confirmed that due to the nature of the offense being indictable, the case would be transferred to the High Court.
