Oliver Simon Dyer has earned a new title after winning the Mr Friendly North competition. The 20-year-old’s latest achievement comes as his second major title, following his victory as Mr Duavata Crime Prevention in 2022.

Representing Shah’s Amusement during the weeklong carnival, Dyer expressed surprise at his win. “I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me, especially to my mother and younger brother who stood by me throughout the week,” he shared.

Addressing the audience at Subrail Park in Labasa, he described the competition as a challenging experience that pushed him to his limits. “I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support from my family and friends. Their encouragement and belief in me made all the difference,” he said.

Dyer dedicated his win to his namesake who passed away shortly before the competition. “This victory is for my namesake, who passed away just yesterday. He was my rock through all of life’s challenges and triumphs,” he added.

In the contest, Ratu Alivereti Rokoyaluma from Drive Smart Pte Ltd was named first runner-up.
