The Ministry of Public Works, Meteorological Services, and Transport (MPWMST) has taken a significant leap in its digital and strategic transformation with the unveiling of a new logo, a redesigned website, and the launch of the 2025–2026 Costed Operational Plan. This event, held at Centenary Church’s Epworth Hall, was marked by remarks from Hon. Ro Filipe Tuisawau, the Minister for MPWMST.
The newly launched website, accessible at www.mims.gov.fj, promises real-time updates and improved navigation, promoting transparency and better access to information on ministry activities and services. Minister Tuisawau elaborated on the new logo, explaining that it symbolizes the ministry’s cohesive focus on infrastructure development, transport, meteorology, and climate resilience.
During his speech, Tuisawau commended the ministry staff for their commitment to delivering essential services in the face of various challenges. He emphasized that even amidst obstacles, their dedication ensures the successful execution of critical projects for the benefit of the community.
The launch of the 2025–2026 Costed Operational Plan is particularly noteworthy as it outlines a comprehensive financial and planning framework that aligns with Fiji’s National Development Plan. This operational plan aims to enhance service delivery, strengthen governance, and bolster sustainable development initiatives across all divisions of the ministry.
The event was attended by senior officials from the ministry and representatives from various Commercial Statutory Authorities (CSAs), including the Fiji Roads Authority and the Water Authority of Fiji. Tuisawau thanked all collaborators for their efforts over the previous financial year and expressed hope for continued progress as they move forward into the next financial period.
This initiative signifies a commitment to enhancing transparency and effectiveness within the ministry, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of services delivered to the public. The progressive steps taken, such as the launch of the new website and operational plan, reflect an optimistic future for the ministry and its role in supporting the nation’s development.
