Members of Parliament are set to receive laptops equipped with Windows 11 Business or Pro as well as the latest high-end mobile phones, according to tender documents released by the Department of Information Technology and Computing Services.
The tender outlines that the ITC Services is seeking a reliable supplier or vendor to provide these devices specifically for MPs.
The laptops should feature a 14-inch screen, support for pen and touch screen input, and offer storage options of either 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte.
Details regarding the mobile phones are more vague, simply referring to them as “high-end mobile devices – latest.”
Following the passage of a motion by the Special Committee on Emoluments in May, MPs will be allowed to keep the gadgets supplied to them, which include mobile phones, laptops, and iPads.
