Opposition MP Sanjay Kirpal is urging the Government to take swift action in supplying food rations to those affected by recent flooding. Representing Nadi, Kirpal highlighted the severe impact on communities in Korovuto, Nawaka, and Vuniyasi due to torrential rains.

He shared that he has organized a team of volunteers who are currently assisting those in need by distributing grocery packages as a temporary relief measure. Kirpal emphasized the importance of providing food and essential supplies to families taking shelter in evacuation centers, especially those with young children.

While acknowledging the challenges in coordinating immediate relief efforts, Kirpal emphasized the necessity for the Government to act promptly. He believes that an urgent governmental response will greatly benefit citizens throughout the country who have suffered due to the devastating floods that occurred on Christmas Day.

This situation underscores the importance of community support and government action in times of crisis. With collective efforts, there is hope for a swift recovery and support for those whose lives have been disrupted by this natural disaster.
