Joe Moses continued to impress in the 2024 Fiji football scene, scoring two goals to lead his team, Suva, to a 2-0 victory over Nadroga during the second day of the Bic Fiji FACT tournament. This victory not only showcases Moses’s striking abilities but also puts Suva in a favorable position to qualify for the semi-finals with these crucial three points.

Moses opened the scoring in the first half, finishing expertly from a well-placed cross by Abhishek Deo. His first goal set the tone for Suva’s performance. In the second half, he struck again, with an assist from Ramzan Khan. Moses skillfully intercepted a pass, maneuvered around a defender, and calmly slotted the ball into the net to complete his brace.

Nadroga had a chance to equalize late in the match when William Valentine was awarded a penalty, but Suva’s goalkeeper, Akuila Mataisuva, made a brilliant save to preserve the clean sheet, ensuring the 2-0 victory for the hosts.

This match is reflective of Suva’s competitive spirit as they aim for a strong finish in the tournament. With performances like Moses’s, the team has reason to be optimistic about their prospects in the upcoming games. Suva’s resilience and skill could propel them to further success in the league, reinforcing their status as a formidable contender.
