A 35-year-old woman from Nadi has been arrested by the Fiji Police Mpaisa Task Force for allegedly fraudulently obtaining money through a mobile money transfer application.
On December 19, 2023, the suspect reportedly contacted the victim, claiming that to win a prize of $50,000, she needed to provide her One Time Pin. The victim also transferred $205 to the accused, who subsequently withdrew the funds and ceased communication.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
