Tokasa Nadagalu delivered a powerful message about love overcoming hatred and darkness during her crowning as Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night. The 19-year-old, who hails from Tavua Village and was supported by the vanua o Tavualevu, shared her story of resilience, having been raised by relatives after her father’s departure and losing her mother at the age of 14.
During her crowning ceremony, Ms. Nadagalu encouraged her peers with the words “Never Give Up.” She expressed deep gratitude for her achievement, attributing her success to her faith in God. Quoting the late Mother Theresa, she said, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred.”
Ms. Nadagalu extended her appreciation to major sponsor Vodafone Fiji and her local community sponsor, Krishna Goundar.
