Only love can dispel hatred and darkness, according to Tokasa Nadagalu, who was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 during a ceremony at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday. At just 19 years old, Ms. Nadagalu represented the vanua o Tavualevu. She hails from Tavua Village and was raised by relatives after her father abandoned her family. Her mother passed away when she was only 14.
During her crowning night, she urged her peers with the message, “Never Give Up.” The crowned queen expressed that her achievement was made possible through her faith in God.
Quoting the late Mother Teresa, she emphasized, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred” after receiving her crown. She also expressed gratitude to Vodafone Fiji, the major sponsor, and thanked the Tavualevu community and Krishna Goundar for their support.
