The organizers of Miss Universe Fiji 2024 have officially confirmed that Manshika Prasad is the rightful winner of the pageant. This announcement came after a verification call with the Miss Universe Organisation, which endorsed her participation representing Fiji at the international event in Mexico this November.
The confirmation follows disputes involving misleading claims from the pageant’s license holder, Lux Projects Bali (Fiji), regarding the judging process. According to the organizers, Manshika won with a 4-3 vote from the judges.
Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) has raised allegations about an unauthorized eighth judge, a claim that has been denied by both the organizers and the Miss Universe Organisation. Furthermore, issues regarding financial obligations were addressed, stating that Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) has not met its payment commitments for services rendered from August 27 to September 2, 2024.
The organizers have urged Christine Natali, Director/Manager of LUX Fiji (and LUX Bali), to quickly settle these outstanding payments to maintain the event’s fairness and viability. The ongoing controversy has caused distress for all parties involved, including Manshika Prasad, other finalists, judges, sponsors, and organizers.
Despite these difficulties, the community is showing strong support for Manshika and the integrity of the Miss Universe Fiji competition.
