The winner of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant will travel to Mexico City to compete in the Miss Universe international final on December 24.
Grant Dwyer, the director of marketing, events, and sponsorship for Miss Universe Fiji, mentioned that Fiji last participated in the prestigious event in 1981 with Lynn Michelle McDonald representing the nation.
The Lux Project’s Fiji, an international property development company, has acquired the Miss Universe Fiji Licence and is excited to rejuvenate the event.
“The focus is on selecting a positive role model, promoting Fiji as a premier travel destination, showcasing the natural beauty of the country, the pristine environment, the fashion, the culture, and the friendliest people which Fiji is known for. In addition, raising awareness for positive causes and supporting charities,” Dwyer said.
Miss Universe Fiji and its organisers are looking to collaborate with Fiji’s leading organisations, brands, and experiences.
“To enhance public relations and positive outcomes, nurturing links with Australia, Asia, India, New Zealand, the USA, and our South Pacific neighbors,” he added.
Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with the Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji in Pacific Harbor, which will be the official host of the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji national final on August 30.
The top 10 national finalists will arrive on August 28, where they will participate in several competitions.
The esteemed judges include Miss Universe Fiji national director Paris Gade, Miss Universe Fiji marketing, events & sponsorship director Grant Dwyer, Pearl Resort & Spa Fiji general manager Natalie Marletta, Lux Projects Fiji Riri Febriani, Bollywood actor and talent mentor Raj Suri, USA on-air TV host, style and beauty expert Jennifer Chan, and Seakeepers.org South Pacific director Melissa Walter.
