Miss Universe Fiji contestants visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday as part of their scheduled activities. They engaged with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior Medical Officer for Serua/Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, Commander of the Navua Command Centre. During their visit, they inquired about the current challenges faced by young mothers in the country.
The contestants also took part in an educational session led by Melissa White, the Director of the International Seakeepers Society for the South Pacific, focusing on oceanographic research and conservation efforts. Miss Universe Fiji is collaborating with The Pearl Resort & Spa, which will serve as the official host for the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final.
The Miss Universe Fiji pageant will conclude with the crowning of the new titleholder tonight at Pacific Harbour.
