Contestants of Miss Universe Fiji visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday to engage in community activities. They met with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior Doctor for Serua/Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, Commander of the Navua Command Centre. During the visit, they inquired about current challenges facing young mothers in the country.
The contestants also took part in an educational class led by Melissa White, the director for the South Pacific at the International Seakeepers Society, focusing on oceanographic research and conservation. This initiative aligns with Miss Universe Fiji’s partnership with The Pearl Resort & Spa, which is the official host for the upcoming 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final.
The winner of Miss Universe Fiji will be announced tonight at Pacific Harbour.
