Miss Universe Fiji contestants visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday to engage in community activities. The contestants had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Kapil Swamy, a senior doctor in Serua/Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, the Commander of the Navua Command Centre. They discussed current issues affecting young mothers in the country.
Additionally, the contestants took part in an educational session led by Melissa White, the South Pacific Director of the International Seakeepers Society, focusing on oceanographic research and conservation. Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with The Pearl Resort & Spa, which is the official host for the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final. The crowning of Miss Universe Fiji will take place tonight in Pacific Harbour.
