The Miss Universe Fiji contestants visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday as part of their activities. During the visit, they spent time with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior Doctor for Serua/Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, the Commander of Navua Command Centre. The contestants engaged in discussions regarding the challenges faced by young mothers in the country.
Additionally, they took part in an educational class led by Melissa White, the director of International Seakeepers Society for the South Pacific, focusing on oceanographic research and conservation efforts. The Miss Universe Fiji event has partnered with The Pearl Resort & Spa, which will officially host the 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final.
The crowning of Miss Universe Fiji will take place tonight at Pacific Harbour.
