Miss Universe Fiji contestants visited the maternity ward at Navua Hospital yesterday as part of their outreach activities. They engaged with Dr. Kapil Swamy, the Senior Doctor Medical Officer for Serua and Namosi, midwife Samantha Banner from the Navua Maternity Unit, and Salote Matanayawa, Commander of the Navua Command Centre. The contestants inquired about the challenges facing young mothers in the country today.
Additionally, the contestants participated in an educational session led by Melissa White, the director for the South Pacific section of International Seakeepers Society, focusing on oceanographic research and conservation. Miss Universe Fiji has partnered with The Pearl Resort & Spa to host the upcoming 2024 Miss Universe Fiji National Final.
The title of Miss Universe Fiji will be awarded tonight at Pacific Harbour.
