Miss Universe Fiji 2024: Crown Controversy and Allegations Unveiled

In a recent announcement from the organizers of Miss Universe Fiji 2024, Manshika Prasad has been officially recognized as the rightful winner of the pageant. This confirmation was made following a verification call with the Miss Universe Organisation, which endorses her participation in the international competition in Mexico this November.

This development comes in response to disputes regarding misleading claims by the pageant’s license holder, Lux Projects Bali (Fiji), concerning the judging process. Organizers stated that Manshika won the title with a 4-3 vote from the judges.

However, Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) has raised allegations about the presence of an unauthorized eighth judge, which both the organizers and the official Miss Universe Organisation have denied. The statement also highlighted financial issues, noting that Lux Projects Bali (Fiji) has not met its payment obligations for services rendered from August 27 to September 2, 2024.

Organizers have urged Christine Natali, the Director/Manager of LUX Fiji (and LUX Bali), to address these outstanding payments promptly to maintain the fairness and sustainability of the event. The ongoing controversy has reportedly created distress among all parties involved, including Manshika Prasad, other finalists, judges, sponsors, and organizers.

Despite these obstacles, the community continues to show support for Manshika and the integrity of the Miss Universe Fiji competition.
